The existence of competition in the electronics manufacturing industry has encouraged companies in the Industrial Pole of Manaus (PIM) to reorganize manufacturing strategies and seek improvements in theirs processes and resources. Technology occupies a critical role in sustaining competitive advantages for industrial production by providing a reduction in operating costs, improve operations involved, allowing the reduction of errors and consequently increase the degree of competitiveness and profitability of companies (Cardona, 2003). Thus, increase production capacity and reduce defects in the production lines, so avoiding the high cost of inventory processes. The companies of the electronics used in large-scale automatic assembly of electronic components SMT (Surface Mounting Technology). Remember that with advancing technology, components SMD (Surface Mounted Device) have become increasingly miniaturized. SMT technology demands high investments, because the machines are fully computerized, have advanced systems to identify components with high-speed cameras and insertion of components with precision. But the feeds of SMD components on the machines with Automatic insertion of components are made by operators, or manually. With this requires some care at this stage. Therefore, the control becomes central in the manufacture of printed circuit boards. A common goal for manufacturers in this area are the reduction of manufacturing defects, since defects bring a direct impact on internal costs of production, cost of rework, time deliveries and consequent customer dissatisfaction (Tubino, 2007).
