The research had as objective to investigate the quality management in the civil construction through
a case study. It is assumed that quality management in construction is important so that processes
are optimized, and deadlines are met. The methodology used involves citations of books and articles
by renowned authors within the themes of Quality Management and Project Management in Civil
Construction, as well as data extracted from researches made by competent and recognized bodies in
the sector through their Internet sites, as well as through of documentation within organizations. it is
important that the impacts of total quality management that contribute to increasing the profitability
of construction companies are clarified so that this tool becomes interesting to entrepreneurs. The
stimulus to establish a quality management system is also interesting for the consumer, since a
product that is submitted to constant evaluations tends to have a final result of more quality, besides
the fact that the quality management contributes with the reduction of production stages, and may
also reduce the final cost of the product.
