Traffic engineering is responsible for planning new routes and assessing existing infrastructure. The
public agencies responsible for traffic management in any state or municipality has as one of its
tasks, is the collection of traffic data that aims to provide information for conducting traffic studies
necessary for proper planning. The present study consists of a quantitative and qualitative analysis
of the automotive vehicles traffic in Gilberto Mestrinho Road Complex in Manaus, better known as
Rotatória do Coroado, and its adjacencies. The data were collected with the municipal agencies
responsible for the traffic of vehicles in the complex under study to characterize and know how the
traffic in the place works, beyond the factors that affect the transit of vehicles. Finally, some
recommendations were made so that the disorders in the local traffic minimizes and has a
satisfactory fluidity.
